We’ve introduced a new feature that lets you restrict which steps a user can move to in a workflow. This ensures a controlled flow – for example, if a contractor responds to a question, the case must always return to the project owner. This is now solved by registering the project owner step as the only available option when standing on the contractor step.

Automation

This works seamlessly with automation: you can now set up rules so that when a field (such as Status) changes, the system automatically applies the Restricted Next Step setting to direct the workflow to the correct step.
